Definition
Design, plan, and implement human resources programs and policies, including staffing, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs
Major Duties of Position
Responsible for supervising and managing group of HR professionals, including Labor/Safety Lead and HR Services Lead.
Supervise and sustain positive union relations at plant level.
Manage attainment of HR employment initiatives and objectives, including diversity, staffing, and development of workplace culture.
Develop and implement HR policies, including attendance, performance management, sourcing, staffing, and succession planning.
Partner with industrial engineering and manufacturing leadership to develop and validate work processes and staffing/employment levels.
Supervise HR processes, including payroll, employment data and history, and timekeeping.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in field, and at least 10 years experience.
Additional formal training in modern management approaches stressing participative problem solving, interactive decision-making, lean manufacturing and team approaches to job completion.
Demonstrated people skills and leadership qualities, experience in strategic planning, and budget development.
Organizational Alignment
This position will report to the Plant Manager and Parent Company Senior HR Manager.
This position will have direct supervisory responsibility.
